Seminarium kl. 15.00 - 17.00. Därefter mingel med dryck och enklare tilltugg. Plats: Internationella Handelshögskolan i Jönköping, vån 3, sal Studion. Medverkande: Anders Jonsson och Caroline Jonsson, Rototilt AB. Annika Hall, CeFEO. Frågor? Kontakta Annika Hall. E-post: hala@ju.se Organizer: Jönköping International Business School |

Trial lecture for the position as associate professor in Product DevelopmentJoel Johansson will hold a trial lecture for the position of Associate Professor in Product Development. Title: "Design Automation - Practical Examples and Identified Challenges" Abstract Mass-customization is one of the most important production strategy for manufacturing companies to stay competitive today. Its primary objective is to maximize customer satisfaction by providing customer specific solutions with near mass-production efficiency. Companies that succeeded to reap the benefits of mass-customization decades could in many segments secure a competitive advantage and outpace their competitors. To achieve a high degree of product customization (or even personalization) an increasing number of companies automate their engineering processes so that the customization is based not merely on standardized pre-manufactured modules but also on technical solutions adapted to each specific order. This movement is commonly referred to as design automation and has its roots not only in mechanical engineering but also in computer science. The lecture gives you inspiring examples of how engineering design automation can be applied in practice and points out challenges currently faced by academia and industry. Welcome to attend the lecture! Organizer: School of Engineering |

Culture on Campus - Songs that changed the worldMusic may in some cases make you dance and, at best, even touch an emotional string. But can a song really change the world? Throughout history we have seen how music brought people together and united groups for a common cause. Now, when it comes to social change the old saying “the pen is mightier than the sword” can definitely hold true. This Culture on Campus we will listen to songs that broke barriers, which led to change. The songs that’s going to be performed is purely subjective, completely arbitrary and absolutely unscientifically chosen, but one thing is certain - they have had a strong impact on their era. A warm welcome to the university library Wednesday November 21 at 1200. Enjoy the to tones that changed the world! Organizer: Jönköping University |
