The jobs available are in the breakfast and cleaning department. Experiences from working with caste discrimination in India

Andrea Stålberg graduated from the Global Studies Program 2022. She has a great interest in human rights, especially with a focus on women and children. She recently came back from an internship in India through the organization The Swallows India Bangladesh. She has worked closely with a right-based organization, focusing on defending the rights of Dalits, also referred to as “the untouchables”.

Her presentation will focus on Caste discrimination by sharing experiences from the tragic but true reality of their everyday life. She will share stories from meetings with people who lost their loved ones in the name of honor. She will also talk about organizations and people who continuously fight against the discriminating legal system in the pursuit for justice and strive to maintain human rights – for all.

What is important to highlight and how do you make it to the next cut? This Tuesday, we have a special guest from Länsförsäkringar Bank.

Michael Arrhenius is the bank manager at the office in Jönköping, and has 24 years experience from the bank sector, and 16 years experience from hiring employees. 

He will give lots of tips and advice that you can use for your upcoming job application.

Simone Kamm, som arbetar som näringslivssamordnare på Vaggeryds Kommun besöker oss för att träffa dig som söker ett roligt och spännande sommarjobb där du får leda ett litet team på tre personer där ni tillsammans besöker och vägleder på kommunens besöksmål och Infopoints. Simone vill gärna träffa dig och veta mer om vem du är! För att passa för tjänsten behöver du tala flytande svenska och engelska, tyska är meriterande och kan du andra språk är det toppen. Du behöver ha körkort och vi ser gärna att du har kunskap av att hantera sociala medier och sköta enklare fotografering. 

Vid tillfället finns även få möjlighet att prata med Lisa Wikberg, som jobbar som karriärvägledare vid Jönköping University. Career Center informerar om vilket stöd du kan få som student under din studietid, i form av karriärvägledning, feedback på ansökningshandlingar, deltagande i föreläsningar och seminarier, och mycket mer.
