Theme - Digital Futures
Scholarly work on sustainability and consequences of digitalization in education is accumulating initiatives with the aim to understand digital futures. These developments point to a ‘futures turn’ in educational research, encouraging a change of perspective, framing education, not only as a sector influenced by digitalisation but also as important in preparing citizens for informed, critical, innovative and democratic participation in a digitalised society. Together with invited guests, the #TJUS1 event serves to explore actors, data, and methods in the present and scaffold participants to imagine otherwise about the ‘not-yetness’ of the digital and the learning. Stripping future of its temporality and turning it into a useful mindset is valuable for critically observe how learning and education have become entangled in various ways with technological imaginaries and reflect on how to integrate futures work in digital pedagogies and research methods.

I februari står HLK värd för ett symposium som arrangeras inom nätverket GRADE Research, som samlar nio lärosäten i Sverige, forskarskolorna GRADE, UPGRADE och LIKED och ett större internationellt råd.
