The JU Research Ethics Committee invite to a webinar: Industrialized cheating in scientific publishing?

The JU Research Ethics Committee invites JU staff (teachers, researcher and others) to a series of lunch webinars on relevant topics related to research ethics. The purpose is to provide new insights and to stimulate discussions about research ethics across JU.

Next up is a webinar with Stefan Eriksson (Uppsala University and SUHF) about ethics in scientific publishing:

Industrialized cheating in scientific publishing?

Do we need to warn about criminal publishing gangs in science? If so, what are they up to? During this webinar, Stefan Eriksson gives examples of such cheating and offers insights into what researchers and readers of scientific literature need to be vigilant about.

Stefan Eriksson works as Advisor to the Vice-Chancellor for good research practice at Uppsala University. He is also the Executive Officer of the Expert Group on Ethics at the Association of Swedish Higher Education Institutions (SUHF).

Thursday 4 September at 12.10 - 13.00. Language: English.

Sign up (preferably no later than 1 September) at  https://esmaker.net/nx2/s.aspx?id=10ffccc363d5 to receive a calendar post with the Zoom link included.
