Nailing ceremony - Jorge Santos

Jorge Santos, doctoral student in Materials and Manufacturing, will "nail" his doctoral thesis on November 3rd. The nailing ceremony takes place in JTH:s entrance at 9.30 am and you are all invited to attend. After the ceremony you're invited to meet for coffee and individually packed snacks.

The nailing ceremony is an old tradition in which the thesis is released and no changes may be done thereafter. 

The title of Jorge Santos' doctoral thesis is Semi-Solid Al-7Si-Mg Castings - Microstructure and Mechanical Properties. Jorge will defend his thesis on November 27th,
1 pm in E1405 (Gjuterisalen).
