Jönköping University and the County Administrative Board of Jönköping County organize a lecture and panel discussion at the University of Learning and Communication during Climate Week

Lecture and panel discussion with examples of citizen participation for sustainability and resilience. Panel discussion with examples from municipalities in Jönköping county. Lecture with the latest research on methods for increased citizen participation in areas of sustainability, resilience and planning.

• Lecture by Carolina Carvalho

Carolina Carvalho holds a DSc in Environmental Planning (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro – UFRJ, Brazil), with a research period at the Royal Institute of Technology (Tekniska Kunliga högskolan – KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden. She conducted postdoctoral research using Participatory Geographic Information Systems (PGIS) applied to urban governance, at the Public Health Faculty (University of Sao Paulo) and Aalto University, Espoo, Finland. Currently, she is a researcher at the Institute of Environment and Energy, of São Paulo University and founder of the Comunidades Vivas – Mapeamento Participativo, an initiative that brings participatory mapping as a tool for urban planning improvements, focusing on citizen engagement for better and healthy cities (www.comunidadesvivas.com.br).
